The first look covers a sample. One button turns it into the complete website — every page, still on that asonehosting.com address, still costing nothing. This is the version you get to live with before you decide anything: not a sample, not a mock-up, the finished site.

An editor comes with it, and you can use it now rather than after paying. Change the words, swap the pictures, add a page, show it to whoever has opinions about these things. It is still on the asonehosting.com address, so you are still committed to nothing.

This is the first point anything is committed to, and it comes after you have seen and used the finished website rather than before.

Ask your current provider for your domain's transfer code, hand it to us, and approve the confirmation email when it arrives. That is your part, and it is the last of it.

08 The transfer runs its course

Domains move on the registry's timetable, not ours — five to seven days, and nobody can shorten it. Your current website stays up the whole time. Nothing switches over until the very end, so there is no afternoon where your address leads nowhere.

09 It goes live, on its own

The moment the domain lands with us, four things happen without anybody pressing anything. This is the part that normally means a hosting company, a support ticket and an afternoon of settings nobody enjoys.

2–3 minutes A server is built for you. Not a shelf shared with a thousand strangers — a machine for your site alone, so its speed and its uptime are yours rather than the average of everyone on it.

under a minute Your domain is pointed at it. The site stops answering on asonehosting.com and starts answering on your own name — and so does every address underneath it.

about a minute The padlock is switched on. A security certificate is issued and installed, so visitors see the padlock instead of a warning — and it renews itself from then on.

on completion We email you. One message saying it's live. You can close the tab; the email will find you.

How it can possibly be this quick

No one at WebAsOne touches your website. Not once.

There is no designer with a queue, no developer to brief and no support ticket with a number on it. Every step above that isn't yours is run by the system itself — which is why a form filled in at midnight on a Sunday is a finished preview by ten past, and why nothing on this page depends on how busy WebAsOne happens to be that week.

The one exception is the last step, and only if you ask for it: choose Let us look after it and a person does get involved — because by then you have asked for one.

The part nobody mentions

Being live is not the same as staying live

What a website runs on decides how fast it answers and how often it doesn't. Most of what goes wrong afterwards goes wrong quietly, months after launch — these are handled for you, permanently.

Your own server, not shared hosting

Cheap hosting puts hundreds of websites on one machine, and they all draw from the same pot. Somebody else's busy morning becomes your slow morning; somebody else's fault can take the whole machine down with it, and you will never be told which of them it was.

Yours is a server built for your site alone. How fast it answers depends on your visitors and nobody else's, and it stays up on its own record rather than on the worst-behaved site it happens to sit beside.

The padlock keeps itself

Security certificates expire every few months. Yours renews on its own, so visitors never meet the full-page warning that tells them your site isn't safe.

Every address, not just the main one

The certificate covers your domain and anything you put under it later — a shop, a blog, a booking page. Nothing to buy again, nothing to set up.

Nothing to remember

No renewal dates in your diary, no annual scramble. The one thing nobody should lose a business over is forgetting a date.

You judge the finished website, not a sample of one.
